SUSANNA GOLDSTEIN, APRN CNM

Hi! My name is Susanna and I am very excited and honored to be the new owner of Willow and a care provider in this community. My journey to midwifery started with the pregnancy of my second child. I had a midwife caring for me during my pregnancy and birth. She opened my eyes to how empowering pregnancy and birth truly is. When I went back to work after maternity leave, there happened to be an opening on the labor and delivery floor. I transferred to that floor and learned even more about midwifery care and decided I couldn’t live without catching babies. I worked as a labor and delivery nurse for six and a half years before becoming a midwife. I graduated from Frontier Nursing University in October 2019 and started working as a midwife at Willow in March 2021.

Before becoming a midwife, my healthcare career started as a nursing aide. The place I worked was a home care facility built specifically for people who were living long term with vents and tracheostomies. I then worked at a methadone clinic with patients who had chemical dependence including pregnant women. After that experience, I moved and got a job in a hospital as a renal/pulmonary acute care nurse. It was this hospital I delivered my first son at and then transferred to labor/delivery.

I am the youngest of ten children and have four children myself. My favorite things in the world are spending time with family, reading, being outdoors, and drinking coffee. I look forward to providing safe, individualized, evidence-based care in partnership with women and their families at Willow!
