PRECONCEPTION PLANNING

When you are trying to get pregnant, your midwife can help you understand your menstrual cycle and your optimal fertility days.  Knowing how your cycle will change while off birth control is helpful for conceiving a pregnancy.  Your pre-conception health assessment includes a discussion about nutrition, optimal weight, mental health, sexuality, exercises to consider and to avoid, supplements, infectious disease prevention and genetic history considerations.  Sometimes blood testing is indicated.  We can provide insemination as well.

New! We now offer genetic testing to help you determine your carrier status, and to inform you of any risk of passing chromosomal disorders to your children.
