JERRIAH WILLIAMS

Jerriah is a student midwife and herbalist located in the Twin Cities. She is currently attending a MEAC accredited midwifery school pursuing her CPM credentials. Jerriah first began her passion as a birth worker in 2015 as a doula. Though she has served birthing families in many different settings, she grew to love out-of-hospital births for the autonomy, community, and individualized quality of care it gave families. After the birth of her daughter in 2020 with a local home birth midwife, Jerriah knew that it was time to pursue the calling that had been on her heart for years, and pursue midwifery.

In addition to being a student midwife, Jerriah is the founder of the nonprofit organization Snuggle House Foundation. The organization’s mission is to provide education, advocacy, and access for BIPOC birthing families. Understanding the inequities surrounding birth for BIPOC families motivated Jerriah to curate a safe space for black and brown birthing families. One that is filled with community, compassion, and culturally matched care.

When Jerriah is not serving families in the birth space, you can find her writing poetry, whipping up herbal remedies in her kitchen, and sharing cuddles with her daughter Leilani.
