Student midwife opening

Willow Midwives is looking to have a current Midwife student join our team! We are searching for a future CNM or CPM that has a passion for out of hospital birth. Our birth center offers a calm and peaceful working environment, a great team, and wonderful families to work with.

As a student midwife at Willow, you will gain experience in all areas of prenatal care, delivery and postpartum care with our clients. All students begin by observing office visits and births, and slowly progress through involved care to supervised care.

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in a MEAC accredited CPM program or ACNM accredited CNM program

• Minimum 12 month commitment 

• CPR Certified, Basic Life Support (CPR/BLS)

• Neonatal resuscitation Program Certified (NRP)

• Reliable transportation and ability to get to birth center within 30 minutes during on-call shifts

• Operational cell phone and internet access at home 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A warm, professional attitude and high comfort level with attending births in an out of hospital setting

• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting
